In Hong Kong, all registered chiropractors engage in private practice. No registered chiropractors work in either public or private hospitals as there is no establishment of chiropractic service in medical system in Hong Kong.
Majority of the chiropractors are self-employed and a few work as associates.
Similar to other medical practitioners and dentists, all chiropractors are registered by law under the Chiropractors Registration Ordinance 1993 and the title ‘Registered Chiropractor' (The legal Chinese term註冊脊醫) is regulated under this legislation.
