Mobilization of the nervous system refers to examination for nerve tension and treatment to relieve tension. The method was pioneered and explored most fully by David Butler PT. Nerve tension tests have been used for diagnosis of entrapment of nerves since many years. Variations of these tests have also been found to implicate mechanical disorders of the nervous system, as a component of the many common "musculoskeletal" disorders.
